Why not come to Banbury and wander through the beautiful Cotswold towns and villages?  Whilst here make sure you visit the beautiful Broughton Castle.  Broughton Castle is a medieval manor house located about two miles out of Banbury.  It is the home of the Fiennes family, Lord and Lady Saye and Sele.   It is rumoured locally that the “Fine lady” of the nursery rhyme was actually a Fiennes lady from Broughton Castle.  Sadly not true even though there was the remarkable Celia Fiennes who rode around England on horseback in the 1690’s.

Now privately owned by the present Lord and Lady Saye and Sele their beautiful home is open to the public during the Summer months between the 1st April – 15th September, 2013 on Sundays, Wednesdays and Bank Holidays between 2.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.  Wander through the rooms and you may well find your tour guides to be the owners of this lovely house.
